I begin intuitively using paint with no prior plans in mind, adding collage, drawn marks and scribbles, painting over marks, sanding back into them until I find a design begin to suggest itself to me. The process continues until I have recreated the energy I find in my sketchbooks. Near to completion I slow down, giving time to consider and reflect, adding and refining until I am completely happy with the result
